The Presidential Bed, 2005
C-Type Prints, variable dimensions.

A site-specific installation in a war-torn family home in Aley Lebanon. The town overlooks Beirut and was once a strong hold for the Israeli army and various Lebanese militias.  The work is composed of an interactive hanging bed in a renovated room and a looped video in a non-renovated room next door.  The bed was made of layers of reused clothing laid on steel.  The audience swings in a bed over immaculately waxed floors with a full view of an obscenely war torn home.
